Presently we have two Community Gardens, one on West Avenue J and a second on Bundrant Drive, both in North Killeen. We have two more in development through partnerships we will announce soon. One is several acres on Trimmier, the other is on 18th street. Our goal is to have at least five throughout the city. Members help plan the crops, plant and tend the produce, learn and teach, and are free to take what they need. The excess will be sold on a sliding fee scale at Farmer's Markets and donated to food pantries. Workshops will also be held to teach people urban farming and healthy cooking/eating techniques.
